When You Begin to Walk Among
Strangers
Methusaleh
March 28,
2007
Helen: I have been called to my recorder. My
microphone is open for whoever wishes to speak. I give you my
love.
Unknown: Oh yes we know that you do, and we appreciate your
kindness in allowing us to come forth. There are so many of us and there
are so few of you, and so we must each take turns.
Methusaleh: I am Methusaleh, and I have come again with a message
of hope. This is the message that I bring.
Not everyone will understand you -- meaning your entire
group. Not everyone will know that you have been trained to serve in a
magnificent way. Not everyone will know that your hearts are wide open to
share, to teach, and to give. Let that not upset you. If you reverse
the roles, how would you feel? Therefore, when you begin to walk among
strangers, and when you begin to talk to those who feel that they are learned, I
beg you to be very gentle. It would be better that you did not speak one
word than that you became offensive. Your golden smile, your kind heart --
this is what you take before you, and your deeds will be seen by
all.
I am reminded of a little story of a man
who went forth to a community, and he said that he would dig them a well, and
they would have free water. And the community was suspicious of him,
because no one ever came to them to offer to dig a well so that they could have
free water. And so the man walked away, and they did not get their
well.
Therefore, when you wish to go into a
community to do a good deed, spend some time making friends. Visit at
least a dozen homes, spend the night in the community, be observant as to what
their needs are. Let them tell you their needs.
We who are so close to you, have such great love
for you, and so much feeling toward you, and we want to guide you so that you do
not become disappointed with even the poor. Remember that they are not
trained, and try to feel how they feel after years and years of suffering.
Be kind to them, and respect their honor and their dignity.
Every day from now on, new faces will appear
before you, and these will be the faces of those who wish to serve with
you. You will recognize them by their eyes and their smile. We
are sending them to you. Please welcome them into your hearts. Your
new journey will begin very soon.
I am
Methusaleh and I am most grateful for this opportunity to share my heart with
you at this time. Farewell.
